Security Solutions Tech Named “2011 Professional Alarm Technician of the Year”

rereALARM INDUSTRY NAMES PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR

March 3, 2011 – Daniel Monroe of Security Solutions, Norwalk, CT, was named the “2011 Professional Alarm Technician of the Year” by the Connecticut Alarm & Systems Integrators Association (CASIA). Mr. Monroe was honored by his peers at the CASIA Annual Membership EXPO! held February 24th at the Laurel View Country Club in Hamden. He was presented with a plaque inscribed, “In recognition of your exceptional technical skills, superior work ethic and professional leadership qualities.”

Mr. Monroe began his career with Security Solutions in 2004 as a remote programmer for security systems. He excelled in this job, wanted new challenges, and expressed interest in becoming a field technician. After completing a two-year apprenticeship program, Dan received a C-6 low voltage electrical license from the State of Connecticut. In nominating Dan for this award, Robert Rickman, Installation Manager of Security Solutions, stated, “as a licensed technician, Dan has achieved a level of technical knowledge and ability that I have not seen in the industry in my 15 years.” Mr. Monroe is versed in residential fire and burglar alarms, as well as commercial fire, video, access control, CCTV and intrusion systems. His credentials include Gamewell-FCI E-3 and the Continental CA300 courses. Mr. Rickman went on to say, “Dan constantly strives to increase his level of knowledge and often does so on his own time. He readily volunteers for new and unusual projects for Security Solutions, including the Weir Farm, a National Park Service site in Ridgefield. Dan is a valuable asset to our company because of his outstanding technical ability, hard work, ethics and dedication to our client’s needs.” We congratulate Dan on receiving this prestigious award from our industry.”
